“Hello Danny. Come play with us. Come play with us, Danny. Forever and ever and ever”. (The Grady twins). Adapted From the book written by Stephen King in 1977.
They helped give identical twins an eerie reputation, and became immortalised roaming the desolate Overlook Hotel halls as the murdered “Grady Twins” ghosts in Stanley Kubrick’s claustrophobic psychological horror classic The Shining (1980). Lisa (on the left in the movie) and Louise Burns were just 11 years old when they first appeared in the film (which was filmed during 1978 and 1979). After 35 years, remaining out of the media spotlight, however, they fairly recently attended the 50th Anniversary screening of Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb at the LOCO London Comedy Film Festival, also at a Stanley Kubrick retrospective in Krakow, Poland in 2014, and more recently at the Texas Frightmare Weekend, and the 35th Anniversary of The Shining at Elstree Studio’s, in Borehamwood, London in 2015.
The pair didnt make any films again after The Shining. While Lisa went on to study literature, Louise became a microbiologist. Now 47, they both live in London, and you can now follow them on twitter @Shining_twins and on Facebook Here.

Not so scary after all. The Burns twins taking a break from filming at Elstree Studio’s in Borehamwood, London.
And if you wanted to know what actor Danny Lloyd (Danny Torrance) from the film looks like today (in 2014). He is 42 years old, and currently a professor of biology at a community college in Kentucky, U.S.A.
